1. Who We Are

FixerCV ("we", "us", "our") operates fixercv.com, an AI-powered CV and resume optimization platform. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. What Data We Collect

a) CV and Job Description Content

When you use FixerCV, you upload a CV file and paste a job description. This content is transmitted to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis and is temporarily stored in our database to deliver your results.

b) Account Information

If you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. Your account is used to retrieve past analyses and manage payments.

c) Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or other payment card details. We receive a payment confirmation and a Stripe payment intent ID for record-keeping.

d) Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage data via Google Analytics 4 — including page views, session duration, country, and device type. This data does not include personally identifiable information.

e) Technical Data

We log IP addresses for security and rate limiting purposes. This data is not used for marketing or sold to third parties.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To analyze your CV and generate optimization results
• To store your analysis results so you can access them later
• To process payments for premium reports
• To send transactional emails (analysis complete, payment confirmation)
• To improve our service through anonymized usage analytics
• To protect against abuse through rate limiting

4. Data Retention

CV content and analysis results are stored in our database for up to 90 days from the date of analysis. After this period, CV content is deleted. Anonymized analysis results (ATS scores, aggregate metrics) may be retained for service improvement.

Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@fixercv.com.

5. Third-Party Services

• Anthropic Claude API— Processes your CV text for AI analysis. Anthropic's API does not use API-submitted data to train models by default. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — Stores your account data and analysis results in encrypted databases hosted in the EU/US.
• Stripe — Processes payments securely. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics 4 — Collects anonymized usage metrics. You can opt out via browser extensions or privacy settings.
• Vercel — Hosts our application. Vercel may log request metadata.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other regulations:

• Access — Request a copy of data we hold about you
• Rectification — Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — Request deletion of your data
• Portability — Receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Object — Object to processing based on legitimate interests

7. Cookies

We use session cookies necessary for authentication and a few analytics cookies from Google Analytics. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — note that this may affect site functionality.

8. Children

FixerCV is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. Continued use of FixerCV after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
